Up to four people can \u201crace\u201d side by side as you fly through the air.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How Fast Does the Grand Canyon West Zipline Go?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The first stage of the attraction is less steep, so your maximum speeds are lower than on the main zipline. However, you will still pick up speed to help you get used to going fast. On the main zipline over the canyon floor, you can reach speeds up to 40 mph.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Is the Grand Canyon West Zipline Scary?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Most riders say the scariest part is waiting to be released to zip over the canyon. Unlike other ziplines where you have to step off, you stay on an elevated tower, and the attraction operator releases you. Once you get going, you will feel a sense of exhilaration as you soar above the canyon floor.<\/p>\n<p>The ride is also shorter, taking about 90 seconds to get from one side of the canyon to the other. You\u2019ll get amazing, unobstructed views of the canyon floor and West Rim.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Are There Any Restrictions for Riding the Zipline?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Guests must weigh between 90 and 275 pounds to experience this attraction. Riders under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What Days and Hours Is the Zipline Open?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The zipline is open daily, weather permitting. The zipline also opens at 9:20 a.m. every day. If you want to ride, you must be in line before 3:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>We also recommend riding earlier in the day, so you don\u2019t miss out on flying over the Grand Canyon.
