Rafting trips include a ride along exciting rapids, hiking at Travertine Cavern Falls, local wildlife viewing, lunch along the banks of the river, and an exciting helicopter ride from the river up to Grand Canyon West.

Raft trips depart from the Hualapai Lodge in Peach Springs, about two hours from the West Rim. When visiting please keep in mind that Grand Canyon West is in Mountain Standard Time. Be sure to leave early enough to arrive on time for any scheduled tours.

One-Day Whitewater Rafting Trip w/ Helicopter | $470

  • River guide trained on river conditions, river rescue, swift water rescue, and emergency medical procedures
  • Dry bag in case you choose to take along a change of clothing
  • Hike to Travertine Cavern Falls

  • Helicopter lift to Grand Canyon West. If you prefer not to fly there are other options
  • You should bring plenty of sun screen.
  • You will get completely drenched so quick dry clothing is recommended.

  • Start at our Peach Springs staging location at 8 a.m.
  • Take a bus to the Colorado River and enjoy beautiful scenery along the way
  • Journey over 12 miles of whitewater rapids
  • Enjoy a moderate hike to Travertine Cavern Falls, followed by lunch along the riverbank
After lunch, you’ll enjoy a smooth water ride through the Canyon. The Waterwalk is an add on which gives you transport and access to the Skywalk after you fly out of the Canyon.

Hualapai River Runners now offers an evening of stargazing, astronomy, and Smores under the Grand Canyon's starry sky. This includes round trip transportation from the Hualapai Lodge to Diamond Creek. Guests will be picked up from Hualapai Lodge for a special evening of stargazing. Join your friends and family around the campfire for some Smores before the stargazing begins. Each guest will recieve a star finder highlighting major constellations and astronomical objects. Located 20 miles from Diamond Creek Restaurant in Peach Springs, AZ.
  • Check-in for the tour begins at 6 p.m. in the lobby of the Hualapai Lodge (see HRR concierge)
  • Bus to Diamond Creek departs the lodge at 7 p.m.
