WHAT IS GENERAL ADMISSION?

The General Admission ticket is your Day Pass to the Tourism Area of the Hualapai Indian The General Admission ticket is your Day Pass to the Grand Canyon West, the Tourism Area of the Hualapai Nation, a federally recognized Indian Tribe located in northwestern Arizona. The Day Pass includes the use of our onsite Hop-On Hop-Off shuttle service for a self-guided tour of all points of interest at Grand Canyon West. Included in this package are the live performances, scenic viewpoints, cultural activities, and more. Explore ticket options, including bundled savings opportunities.

DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE A GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET?

Every visitor to Grand Canyon West is required to purchase a General Admission ticket. Optional activities, such as Skywalk, helicopter, boat tours and zipline tours can be purchased at an additional cost. Explore ticket options, including bundled savings opportunities.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION?

Grand Canyon West is open every day of the year, including all major holidays, from 8:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. daily. Last tickets are sold at 5 p.m. from March to November and vary as days get longer or shorter going into and out of the summer. Guests can stay overnight at the west rim at the Cabins at Grand Canyon West — check-in is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Learn more about all of the things you can do at Grand Canyon West.

ARE RESERVATIONS REQUIRED?

If you are driving yourself to Grand Canyon West for the day, reservations are not required. Reservations are required for overnight stays (to ensure availability), rafting excursions, and tours that include transportation to Grand Canyon West. IF I DRIVE TO GRAND CANYON WEST WITHOUT MAKING A RESERVATION, WILL I BE TURNED AWAY?

No, we do not limit the number of visitors to Grand Canyon West. However, the last tickets are printed approx one hour prior to closing. Explore ticket options, including bundled savings opportunities.

CAN I BUY TICKETS ON-SITE?

Yes, you can purchase tickets to Grand Canyon West and Skywalks on-site. Please be aware some attractions have limited availability and reservations are highly encouraged, these include helicopter tours, pontoon tours and the zipline. If you do not purchase tickets for these in advance, we cannot guarantee you will be able to on the day of arrival.

HOW LONG SHOULD I PLAN ON BEING AT GRAND CANYON WEST?

We recommend that you arrive in time to spend at least three hours to fully experience Grand Canyon West. If you are in a hurry, it can be done in two hours. Learn more about all of the things you can do at Grand Canyon West.

DOES THE PRICE OF ADMISSION VARY?

The price of admission can vary based on the date selected to visit. Prices are subject to change without notice.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

Tickets are refundable up to twenty-four (24) hours prior to arrival on the original date selected. Date changes are permitted and unused tickets are valid for one year from the original date selected.
Promotions and discounts cannot be combined with other offers.
Tours and prices are subject to change without notice.
Discounts only valid on General Admission, Skywalk, Zipline, Meal Tickets, White Water Rafting and select River Tours – not valid for any Aerial Tours. Discounts only valid on specific tours designated at the time of purchase.
Cancellation policies apply to select tours and products. All tours and products are subject to Tribal tax and fees. Tours, prices, taxes and fees are subject to change without notice.
Weather may affect the availability of tours.

IS THERE AN ADDRESS I CAN PUT INTO MY GPS?

Grand Canyon West does not have a Postal Address. Most GPS systems will identify the Location by entering either “Grand Canyon West” or “Grand Canyon West Airport.” If the GPS tries to take you to Peach Springs then try updating your system. WHERE IS THE NEAREST GAS STATION TO GRAND CANYON WEST?

There are 3 gas stations on Highway 93 coming from Vegas. There is a Chevron on the corner of Pierce Ferry Road and 93. There is a Gas Station in Dolan Springs on Pierce Ferry Road and a Chevron Station on Pierce Ferry Road about ½ mile north of Stockton Hill Road. You can also purchase gas at Grand Canyon West in an emergency. Simply ask at one of the Gift Shops.

WHERE IS THE NEAREST ACCOMMODATIONS TO GRAND CANYON WEST?

Guests book overnight accommodations at the Cabins at Grand Canyon West in one of our western-style cabins facing the Canyon. Each booking includes one General Admission ticket; additional General Admission tickets can be purchased at the time of check-in.

There is RV Parking available at the Hualapai Welcome Center. RV Parking costs $22/night; parking passes can be purchased at the Ticket Terminal or from security for arrivals after hours. Our RV Parking does not offer water or sewer hook-ups. RVs can only stay for a maximum of three nights.

WHERE IS THE NEAREST COMMERCIAL AIRPORT?

The nearest major commercial airport is McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada. Las Vegas is approximately a 2-hour drive from Grand Canyon West (30-minute flight) or a 2 1/2-hour drive from the Hualapai Lodge and Hualapai River Runners White Water Rafting

HOW FAR IS LAS VEGAS TO THE GRAND CANYON WEST RIM?

The nearest major commercial airport is McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada. Las If you are traveling to Grand Canyon West rim from Las Vegas, NV, you can get here in a 30-minute helicopter flight or approximately 2 hours driving in a vehicle. If you are traveling from Las Vegas to the Hualapai River Runners for a whitewater rafting trip, prepare for a 2 1/2-hour drive to the Hualapai Lodge in Peach Springs, Arizona.

The nearest major commercial airport is McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada. Las If you are traveling to Grand Canyon West rim from Phoenix, AZ, you can get here by vehicle in 4 ½ hours. If you are traveling from Phoenix to the Hualapai River Runners for a whitewater rafting trip, prepare for about a 3 ½ hour drive to the Hualapai Lodge in Peach Springs, Arizona.

WHAT ARE THE HOURS OF OPERATION?

Grand Canyon West is open daily from 8 am until sundown, with the last entry at 6:00 pm from mid-March through October, and 5:00 pm from November to March. Guests are not able to enter the West Rim after the last entry time.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE OR RECOMMENDED ATTIRE?

IS GRAND CANYON WEST PART OF THE NATIONAL PARK?

Grand Canyon West is not part of the Grand Canyon National Park, which is located five hours away. Grand Canyon West is on the Hualapai Native American Reservation and is owned and operated by the Hualapai Tribe. Learn more about all of the things you can do at Grand Canyon West.

ARE NATIONAL PARK PASSES ACCEPTED?

No. Grand Canyon West is an enterprise of the Hualapai Nation and is not affiliated with Grand Canyon National Park. The National Park is located five hours away on the South Rim in the northwest corner of Arizona, close to the borders of Utah and Nevada. ARE PETS ALLOWED AT GRAND CANYON WEST?

Pets are not permitted on tours or allowed to be left in parked cars. Pet accommodations are available at the Hualapai Ranch (fee applies). Service animals are permitted on tours.

Pets are allowed in the Cabins at Grand Canyon West for overnight guests, however, guests must indicate they are traveling with a pet to be placed in a pet-friendly room.

WHAT TRANSPORTATION IS AVAILABLE?

Grand Canyon West offers Hop-On, Hop-Off Shuttles within the site to explore Eagle Point, The Skywalk and Guano Point. Bus companies and tour partners out of Las Vegas also offer transportation to Grand Canyon West. Learn more about all of the things you can do at Grand Canyon West.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE AT GRAND CANYON WEST?

The weather varies dependent on season. Check “Peach Springs” on your weather app for accuracy and always check the weather report prior to traveling to Grand Canyon West.

IS THERE HIKING?

There is a moderate hike at Guano Point called “Highpoint Hike,” which has a beautiful panoramic view of the Canyon and Colorado River. There is also an easy hike down to the edge of the Canyon where you can see the remnants of an old guano mine.
There are also hiking trails available at Hualapai Point. To access the trails, guests must either have a General Admission ticket or be an overnight guest in our cabins. Learn more about all of the things you can do at Grand Canyon West.

IS THERE A GIFT SHOP?

The Grand Canyon West Terminal, Skywalk, Eagle Point, and Hualapai Point each offer gift shops where you can purchase Grand Canyon West and Skywalk memorabilia. WILL I HAVE TO WALK A LOT?

You will not have to do a lot of walking unless you choose to participate in the hiking options. There are many areas where you can sit down at each point of interest and the Hop-On, Hop-Off shuttle can transport you between points quickly.  Learn more about all of the things you can do at Grand Canyon West. 

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON THE ACTIVITIES OFFERED AT THE HUALAPAI RANCH?

To ride the Zipline you must be at least 4 ft. tall and weigh between 90 lbs. and 275 lbs. The Zipline is open seasonally.  Learn more about all of the things you can do at Grand Canyon West.

CAN I SCATTER ASHES AT GRAND CANYON WEST?

No. The scattering of human remains is prohibited anywhere at Grand Canyon West, including Guano Point and Eagle Point.

ARE MASKS REQUIRED TO EXPERIENCE GRAND CANYON WEST?

Effective Friday, March 25th: Guests are no longer required to wear masks, except while on buses and any transportation.

WHERE IS THE GRAND CANYON?

The Grand Canyon is entirely located in Arizona, situated in the northwest corner closest to the borders of Utah and Nevada. Grand Canyon West is located on the West Rim on the Hualapai Nation’s tribal lands and not in the National Park, which is located on the South Rim. Get directions to Grand Canyon West.

HOW WAS THE GRAND CANYON FORMED?

Scientists say the mighty Colorado River cut a channel through layers of rock 5 to 6 million years ago, creating the mile-deep gorge known as the Grand Canyon. The Hualapai Nation’s oral history tells of a different beginning when a big ice comet landed in Colorado. After millions of years, the comet melted and the water rushed through the rocks carving the Grand Canyon. A giant eagle soared the skies before the flooding started, and swooped down to save the Hualapai people, flying the Hualapai on his back and depositing the tribespeople along the ledge of the west rim when the flooding stopped. The eagle itself turned into stone, where it remains to this day.

HOW LONG IS THE GRAND CANYON?

HOW DEEP IS THE GRAND CANYON WEST RIM?

The Grand Canyon West Rim has an elevation of 4,000 feet. You can walk 4,000 feet above the canyon floor on one of the world’s largest cantilever bridges. CAN I BRING FOOD AND BEVERAGES TO GRAND CANYON WEST?

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO GO ON THE SKYWALK AT THE GRAND CANYON WEST?

I WANT TO DRIVE MY OWN CAR TO THE SKYWALK. DO WE HAVE TO USE THE HOP-ON HOP-OFF SHUTTLE?

Transportation by private vehicle is not permitted at Grand Canyon West. We provide parking for your vehicle and complimentary Hop-On, Hop-Off shuttle service to take you from point to point.

CAN CHILDREN WALK ON THE SKYWALK?

If children are old enough to walk on their own, they are permitted to walk on the Skywalk. If children are old enough to walk on their own, they are permitted to walk on the Skywalk. Children 4 and younger are free to enter and do not require a General Admission or Skywalk ticket. Learn more about Skywalk

CAN I TAKE MY CELL PHONE/CAMERA ON THE SKYWALK?

We do not allow any personal items such as cell phones, cameras, purses, backpacks, etc. onto the Glass Bridge for safety. We do provide a free locker for you to store your items while you are on the Skywalk. Learn more about Skywalk.

HOW DO I GET PICTURES OF ME ON THE SKYWALK?

We have trained photographers on the Skywalk who will take your picture in a variety of poses if you choose. They will give you a card that you can turn in at the photo counter to see the photos that were taken. Photos can be purchased for $17 per print or $69 for a complete package of digital photos. If you would prefer not to have your picture taken you can simply walk out onto the Skywalk and enjoy the view. We allow you to take your time on your walk and ask only that you be mindful of those who do choose to have their pictures taken. Learn more about Skywalk.

Zipline

IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT?

Yes, guests must weigh between 90 and 275 pounds to ride the Zipline. Learn more about the Zipline

WHAT IS THE ZIPLINE CANCELLATION POLICY?

The Zipline at Grand Canyon West has a no-cancellation policy. All sales are final and non-refundable. Your ticket is good for the date purchased. In the event that The Zipline at Grand Canyon West cancels operations due to weather, our weather policy will prevail. Learn more about the Zipline.

WHAT IS THE ZIPLINE WEATHER POLICY?

The Zipline at Grand Canyon West will suspend operations in inclement weather. In the event of weather-related cancellations made by The Zipline at Grand Canyon West guests will be issued a refund or a 30-day rain check good for the full value of the reservation. The Zipline at Grand Canyon West does not make cancellation decisions based on the forecast, all decisions regarding weather will be made the same day. Learn more about the Zipline
